CREATIVE EUROPE PROJECT
RE-MIND
A Mindfulness-Based Capacity-Building Model for Digital Wellbeing and Intergenerational Audience Engagement in Museums
ABOUT
THE PROJECT
RE-MIND is a Creative Europe Cooperation Project dedicated to reimagining the role of museums in today's digitally connected world. As cultural institutions increasingly embrace technology, visitors often experience digital fatigue, sensory overload, and a growing sense of disconnection. RE-MIND responds to these challenges by promoting mindfulness, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement within museum environments. The project seeks to transform museums into welcoming spaces where visitors can slow down, connect with culture more deeply, and enjoy enriching experiences that support both emotional wellbeing and lifelong learning.
Through collaboration between partners from North Macedonia, Serbia, Italy, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, RE-MIND develops innovative approaches to intergenerational audience engagement. The project brings together museum professionals, educators, children, young people, and older adults to co-create a new Mindful Museum model that fosters inclusion, empathy, curiosity, and connection. By providing training, practical tools, workshops, and a sustainable network of participating institutions, RE-MIND aims to help museums become more accessible, supportive, and relevant for diverse audiences across Europe. The project has a duration of three years, commencing on 1 March 2026 and concluding on 28 February 2029. The total EU grant awarded for the project amounts to EUR 781,743.28.
